Program Dates and Descriptions
January 25, 10:00 am–12:00 pm
Winter Tracking Hike – Animals don’t hide their tracks in the winter. We will search out tracks and trails of our resident mammals and birds.

February 8, 5:00 pm–7:00 pm
Evening Campfire and Star Gazing – Winter is a great time to share stories around the fire, enjoy a campfire treat and study the stars in the sky. Dress warmly and bring a mug for hot chocolate.

February 22, 10:00 am–12:00 pm
Snowshoe Hike – This is your chance to strap on a pair of snowshoes and hit the snowy trails around the nature centre.

March 7, 10:00 am–12:00 pm
Predator Prey Game – Today we will play everyone’s favorite food chain game.

March 21, 6:30 pm–8:30 pm
Early Spring Exploration Hike – Let’s explore the fields and forest around the nature centre. Let’s see who is waking up from their long winter slumber. We will play some games and try stalking the elusive Timberdoodle.

April 4, 10:00 am–12:00 pm
Coyote Cache Survival – Learn about coyotes and then play a game that lets you become a coyote. Will you survive?

April 18, 10:00 am–12:00 pm
Spring Birds – We will explore the area around the nature centre to see which birds have arrived back from their winter vacation. We will also make nesting balls for the birds.

May 2, 10:00 am–12:00 pm
Guardians of the Grand – Participate in some stewardship activities that will improve the habitat around the nature centre.
