NG Outdoor Event – Winter Aquatic Insect ID

Have you ever wondered where insects go in the winter? Watch safely from shore while NG Executive member Abbie Wiesner and aquatic ecologist Colin Oaks collect aquatic insects from the Eramosa River. Participants will work together to identify the insects they find using the collection/viewing equipment and ID sheets provided.
Meeting – Park off to the side at the entrance to the Scout Camp (near Stone Rd.) @ 2pm
Other details –
Dog friendly, but dogs must be on leash.
Participants will NOT be going in the water.
Dress for the weather. Water-proof footwear is recommended, as the shoreline might be wet/muddy.
