Nature In The City – World of Wildflowers Family Walk

Please join Nature Guelph at the Starkey Hill parking lot on Sunday, May 7 at 1:00 pm for a free, guided outdoor family program – wildflower walk. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water. The Starkey Hill hiking trail is moderately difficult with several steep sections, tree roots and rocks, but participants can choose to walk the easier sections.

To get there:

Starkey Hill is a property owned by the Grand River Conservation Authority, and is located at 735 Arkell Road, approximately 1.5 km east of Watson Road South. It is one of Guelph’s most beautiful spots for spring wildflowers. You won’t be disappointed!

We hope you will also join us at the downtown Main Guelph Public Library location for the related free indoor family program on Saturday, April 29 at 1:00 pm where we will learn about the wide variety of wildflowers that grow in our city. More details on the indoor program can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1863524893914936/

Nature in the City is a series of free, public programs run by Nature Guelph that can help you dive in to nature in the Royal City. Bring your friends and family, and learn just a little more about the natural world in your own backyard, while meeting other people in your local community who are interested in nature connection and the outdoors.

Nature in the City 2017 features a 4-part series of free indoor programs at the Downtown Guelph Public Library Main Branch, at 100 Norfolk Street, that are followed by free guided outdoor programs. Join us for either, or for both!
