Nature Guelph Speaker Series: Our Future – A Space for Youth

April 12 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Nature Guelph Speaker Series: Jackson Hudecki – Special Programs Coordinator for Royal Botanical Gardens

Our Future: Being a Stopping Ground for Youth on their Mental Migration Superhighway

Summary & Bio: Entering his 10th year in Environmental Education, Jackson Hudecki has been working with people in all ages and stages of life. In more recent years, he has been tasked with running a youth program out of Royal Botanical Gardens called the Young Environmental Science (YES) Alliance, a club geared to lining high school aged students up on a trajectory towards a post-secondary education in green industries. The YES Alliance then opened the door to HHYPE (Hamilton & Halton Youth Promoting the Environment ) Nights at RBG- – a social evening for high school students to gather, support and express their creativity while remaining connected to their natural and nature-focused surroundings. Youth are always on the move, and Jackson wants to give them a place to go, hoping you do, too.

Nature Guelph events are open to non-members and everyone is welcome! This event is free, but donations are always appreciated. If you enjoy our events and programs, we hope you will consider buying an annual membership. Nature Guelph memberships are: Individual: $25.00, Student: $10.00.
