Nature Guelph Outdoor Event – History In Rocks Geology and Landforms Road Trip
May 28 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Every landscape has its own story and much like detectives we use clues and evidence to piece together and understand these stories. Glacial landforms, exposed cliffs, river valleys, fossils, and erratics are the clues and evidence we use to tell us the story of the Greater Guelph Area. On this trip geographer Dr. Laura Brown will lead us to visit examples of geographic and geologic gems and see what they and the local rocks can tell us. We will also do a bit of fossil hunting.
We will meet at the University of Guelph Arboretum Centre Parking Lot, and will be car pooling from there to various locations in the Guelph area.
Nature Guelph events are open to non-members and everyone is welcome! This event is free, but donations are always appreciated. If you enjoy our events and programs, we hope you will consider buying an annual membership. Nature Guelph memberships are: Individual: $25.00, Student: $10
