Forks of the Credit Provincial Park

Join birder Larry Staniforth as we visit Forks of the Credit Provincial Park, which lies just south of Hwy 124 along the shore of the Credit River. This park is home to many varieties of grassland birds, including, Meadowlark, Clay-coloured , Field, Savannah and Song Sparrows, Bobolink, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Red-winged Blackbird, Indigo Bunting, Oriole, and several species of warblers.
Meet at the Wild Birds Unlimited parking lot at 951 Gordon St., Guelph at 7:00 am, where carpools will be arranged as necessary.
This event is kid-friendly, but will involve some hiking on trails. Trails on the site range from easy to moderate. This event is NOT dog-friendly. Please dress for the weather. Bring refreshments and a light lunch. We will eat in the park at the picnic tables just off the parking lot.
While there is no formal visitor centre or entrance gate, parking fees will apply. A machine is on site.
